The new stream aims at partnering Canada’s world class business incubators with immigrant entrepreneurs. The Incubators will provide the entrepreneurs with invaluable mentorship and help them attract investors.
The Business Incubator stream will not require a financial investment. Applicant are required, however, to secure entry into a designated Canadian incubator program.
The new stream will begin accepting applications on October 26, 2013. CIC will be working in partnership with the Canadian Association of Business Incubation (CABI) to designate eligible business incubator programs. The new stream would complement the existing venture capital and angel investor streams.
